Yesterday I had a much needed massage by a certified technician named "Amy" in Venice CA, and the price was well worth it. I had paid up front and then proceeded with my work out at the gym. When I returned they stated that my masseuse would be there shortly. And this did occur. She was great...By the way they charged $47 for an hour massage, something that I used to get regularly when I was working, and it is essential particularly when the body becomes used to getting something and then it is suddenly deprived, in this case, due to a limited amount of funds. After the very satisfying massage I noticed that the prices on the back of the door were different than what was announced. According to the posted price I was "overchared by $7" no big deal, but follow the importance. I had given Amy a $10bill expecting four dollars back. When I went to the desk there was a completely different staff, and, I stated I would like the four dollars. The woman not as pleasant as the person that greeted me originally said, well I'm going to have to get that $10 from the technician. Amy came out of the massage room looking very uncomfortable, and handed me 3 dollars and change, stating that's all she had. Which was puzzeling, because what that indicated perhaps is that she was relying totally on tips, she was not getting paid an hourly wage, which by law she should have been, very similar to what had occurred to me for over 13 years when working on commission only. Plus loosing profit sharing at Merit. So companies are now,since perhaps my suggestion of my 90/10 plan perhaps the "Mafia" has arrived and who is the "Mafia" you may well ask, I would say the government agencies, etc. it's not what you may think. I had written an article titled, "Why I choose the Mafira over the US Government" keep in mind that my computer's content has been privy to many, Apple, Microsoft, Geek Squad, Best Buy, the White House, etc...Now what's important, is that INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS ARE BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE, IN MY OPINION, BECAUSE THEY ARE HIRED FOR FREE. THE WORKERS TAKE ALL THE RISK, AND THE COMPANIES TAKE NONE. SALARY PLUS COMMISSION IN MY OPINION IS MANDATORY. ALSO FROM THE POV OF THE CONSUMER, THE CONSUMER IS BEING CHARGED MORE FOR WHAT THEY ARE BUYING, BECAUSE THE OWNERS OF THESE COMPANIES DO NOT WANT TO ASSUME ANY FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY.
